Beliefs
We Believe:
- That there is one God who is the designer and creator of all things. He is known as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – three in one. And it is God’s Spirit that lives and works in us today.John 1:1; Ephesians 4:4-6; John 14:15-20
- That the church, also known as the body of Christ, was established, by Christ, to Encourage, teach and correct one another in love. 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 10:24-25
- That God wants all mankind to come to Him and everyone who comes to Him and puts their trust in Him, He gives them the free gift of salvation. 2 Peter 3:9; John 3:16-18
- That God has a plan and a design which, if we follow it, will bring us a peace that passes all understanding. It is the sin of mankind that separates us from God and it is the atonement of our sins, by Jesus Christ, that gives us eternal life. Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippine 4:4-9; Romans 8:28-39
- That the Greatest Commandment (to love the Lord your God with all your heart, Mind, Soul and strength) is really a matter of surrendering our will to the will of the Father. If we truly believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He came to die for our sins so that we could have eternal life, then our lives will change. This surrendering is not a one time occurrence, but rather a life long growing in Him. The more we trust and grow in the relationship, the more we surrender our will to His. Mark 12:29-30; Romans 5:1-11; Philippians 2:1-8
- That Baptism was given to believers to help us understand that we are no longer slaves to sin, but rather we have died to our old selves and are raised to walk a new life in Christ Jesus. Immersion into water is a parallel to Christ’s Death, Burial and resurrection. Romans 6:1-7; 1 Peter 3:21-22
- That Healing and Forgiveness of our sins can only come through Jesus Christ. Those who trust in Him will have eternal life, Those who do not Believe in Him stands condemned without Him.
- That Marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman as God set up marriage from the beginning of time. Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:20-24; Matthew 19:4-6
